Alex,

As I posted on the other forum, it seems to me that it might be easier to first post the longer segments of the instructional DVDs or tapes you sell, since the content is already there -- it's a matter of choosing a longer portion of the media and uploading. Joe could be creating longer instructional videos while you are doing this. He is a wonderful personality and supportive teacher!

Hey, Grunt! The answer is: YES.
1. Clips help judge a dvd.
2. Quick lessons with Joe are fun to watch.

The primary purpose of the youtube channel was for videos like Joe's quicklessons. Complete chapters or exercises of no more than 5 or 6 minutes, filmed especially for this purpose,
or for helpful product lessons from the manufacturers themselves.
The shorter clips were essentially just video samples we already had to give a feel for the instructional dvds we sell, so we figured, why not post those as well?
Theres certainly no argument against the value of longer DVD sample clips, just some time & priority issues.

That's actually a great question for all you Board members- Which would you rather see? Extended Clips of the DVDs we sell or More Quick Lessons? (these would mostly be by Joe, but also feature other instructors as availability allows).

It would be good if the segments made sense in and of themselves: the videos as they are sometimes just pick up in the middle of a demonstration. Longer would be good, followed by perhaps a table of contents of what more could be seen on the entire video.

As Terry informed us elsewhere, Cheap Joe has put some of his instructional videos on You Tube, as well as excerpts from other instructional videos. I just wanted to call attention to that service by starting this thread. What is there may not be of much value to the accomplished artists on this forum, but it may be of help to beginners and newcomers. Thanks Graphitegrunt and Joe!

Now, if you have time to look at some of these, do you have any opinions or thoughts about the instruction (or instructors) on the various excerpted videos? I had told Terry that I thought they could be longer in order to give us a better look at each instructor by means of more complete segments of the videos.

By the way, Terry, are you making progress on that, or have you changed your mind about the value of making the segments longer? I notice that the last post dates are a month old. Does this mean a revision process is underway, and that new or revised posts will appear soon?
